For a long time, the primary solution for straightening teeth was metal braces. Unfortunately,

metal braces can be uncomfortable, unaesthetic, and a hassle. While there are still many

people who use metal braces, we offer a more discreet, convenient, and comfortable

Invisalign is a nearly invisible teeth aligning solution that does the same job as traditional braces,

without the metal.

Invisalign uses specialized trays that are changed out over time as your teeth become straighter.

Unlike metal braces, the trays used for Invisalign can be removed by the patient when necessary.

This gives you more control and freedom than you get with braces.

When Is Invisalign Needed?

Invisalign is used to correct issues such as:

Overcrowding: When there is not enough space for teeth to grow and align normally, and teeth are growing too closely to each other. This can contribute to tooth decay and gum disease.

Overbite: When the top teeth stick out further than the lower teeth, or cover them completely.

Underbite: When the lower teeth stick out further than the upper teeth.

Crossbite: When upper teeth bite into lower teeth. This can cause the teeth to wear unevenly and develop into gum disease.

Gaps: Large spaces in between the teeth can be a result of missing teeth or the jaw developing improperly.

Invisalign In Springfield VA

We start by creating a treatment plan during your initial visit. We will take 3D images of your jaw that allows the doctor to see the effect Invisalign could have cosmetically on your facial structure. Then, we will make a set of aligners/trays to fit your teeth.

Every time you change out a tray, your teeth will be getting straighter. By the last tray, your teeth should be aligned correctly. The number of trays needed will vary from patient to patient. Invisalign has shown to produce great results, and can be faster than braces. We are one of the few dentists in Springfield and surrounding areas trained to offer Invisalign.
